We received the long awaited MS50 yesterday. Rob gave us an excellent introduction, thank you very much. We are already getting productive with it and scanned some pipework on a vessel this morning. What is good about it is that it behaves like a conventional theodolite, resecting of our standard control points without going through the process of setting up scan targets to fix the point cloud, with the added bonus of on board data processing. A general comment I've picked up a few times from the boys is that the gear just feels more solid compared to what we have been using. We’ll try and give you as much feedback as possible, as our construction sites are very full on, what happens in a normal small survey company in a year takes place here in a week. The Nova will be an excellent tool for us.
