The Leica Geosystems GS05 GNSS smart antenna
Having attracted a lot of attention at the recent INTERGEO exhibition in Germany, the new Leica Geosystems GS05 GNSS RTK rover smart antenna is now available in Australia through C.R. Kennedy.
The compact and lightweight GS05 efficiently captures high-quality geospatial data, and has streamlined data-collection functions which, Leica says, enables surveyors to accomplish more each day in the field and with less fatigue.
Weighing just 750 grams, the GS05 offers a wide set of features, including integrated UHF radio or 4G modem, WLAN and Bluetooth, internal memory 10 Hertz (Hz) positioning, NMEA output, plus a 10-hour internal battery.
Leica says that the tilt-compensating functionality of up to 30° of tilt, plus total station interoperability on a SmartPole set-up, enables increased productivity and simplifies work across multiple sites and tasks.
The GS05 can be used as a base or as an RTK rover. As a rover, it functions with single base stations or in RTK Networks such as Leica Geosystems’ SmartNet.
And using Leica Captivate, the GS05 integrates into existing fleets and is available in various configurations to meet the needs a range of users.
