DJI Zemuse P1 Lens Firmware Release - v04.00.02.05
DJI’s latest firmware update for the DJI Zenmuse P1 camera was released on September 28, and it now enables full time synchronisation with the X7 DL 24mm and 50mm f/2.8 LS APSH lenses to capture survey grade data.
The DJI Zenmuse P1 was released in October 2020 and comes bundled with the DJI Enterprise DL 35mm F2.8 LS ASPH lens. The Enterprise DL 35mm lens has accurate shutter timing with the P1, and is excellent at providing survey grade accuracy. There were rumours of a DJI Enterprise series 24mm and 50mm lens to be released later, but this did not materialise.
The DJI Zenmuse P1 camera has the same mount as the DJI Zenmuse X7, so the original X7 lenses would mount on the P1. However, without camera calibration and accurate shutter timing, the X7 DL lenses were not able to provide the required survey grade accuracy.
With DJI’s latest Zenmuse P1 firmware release, end users now have full support for the X7’s DL 24mm f/2.8 LS ASPH lens, as well as the 50mm f/2.8 LS ASPH lens. Both lenses can now achieve the required survey-grade accuracy for photogrammetry with the Zenmuse P1.
Other updates from the firmware release include improved auto white balance (AWB) and lens infinity calibration error fixed.
