Fast

The new Leica RTC360 laser scanner makes 3D reality capture faster than ever before. With a measuring rate of up to 2 million points per second and advanced HDR imaging system, the creation of coloured 3D point clouds can be completed in under two minutes. Plus, automated targetless field registration (based on VIS technology) and the seamless, automated transfer of data from site to office reduce time spent in the field and further maximise productivity.

Agile

Small and lightweight, the Leica RTC360 scanner’s portable design and collapsible tripod mean it’s compact enough to fit into most backpacks, ready to be taken anywhere. Once on-site, easy-to-use, one-button operation makes for fast, hassle-free scanning.

Precise

Low noise data allows for better images, resulting in crisp, high-quality scans that are rich in detail and ready for use in a range of applications. Combined with Cyclone FIELD 360 software for automated registration in the field, the Leica RTC360 scanner offers outstanding precision that can be checked on-site.

Pre-registraton in the field

As part of the RTC360 solution, the Cyclone FIELD 360 app links the 3D data acquisition in the field with the laser scanner and data registration in the office with Cyclone REGISTER 360. On-site the user can automatically capture, register and examine scan and image data. The user interface combines easy handling of complex calculations with a graphical user guidance that offers a remarkable user experience, also for novice users.

The Leica RTC360 has an angular accuracy of 18", a range accuracy of 1.0 mm + 10 ppm, and a 3D point accuracy of 1.9 mm at 10 m, 2.9 mm at 20 m, and 5.3 mm at 40 m.

There are two main differences between the Leica RTC360 and RTC360LT. The first is the RTC360 captures data at a speed of 2 million points per second while the RTC360LT speed is 1 million points per second. The second difference is the RTC360 has VIS.

It’s a navigation sensor! The Leica RTC360 utilises a Visual Inertial System, which is a video-enhanced inertial measuring system. This system is employed to track the movement of the scanner's position relative to its surroundings.

The Leica RTC360 can scan at 2 million points per second and full HDR imagery only takes 1 minute. A full scan captured at a 12mm grid, 10m from the scanner with HDR imagery will take 1 minute 26.

The Leica RTC360 can scan without image capture, reducing the fastest scan to only 26 seconds. The longest scan is only 1 minute and 42 seconds, which will capture points at a density of 3mm at 10m from the scanner.

Yes, the rotating scanner head of the Leica RTC360 can be cleaned. However, it is important to follow the manufacturer's guidelines and instructions for cleaning.

The main differences between the All-New Leica BLK360 and RTC360 are:

The Leica RTC360 uses Leica Cyclone FIELD 360 software for capturing scans and controlling the scanning process, users can register scans with this software using a tablet or mobile phone. You can also operate the RTC360 without the app or device by using the on-board GUI (Graphical User Interface) full colour large touchscreen display.

To import scan data from the Leica RTC360 into Autodesk AutoCAD or Bentley MicroStation, you can use Leica Cyclone REGISTER 360 plus software. This software allows you to register and process the captured scans, and it provides export options to formats compatible with AutoCAD and MicroStation. We also recommend CloudWorx plugins for AutoCAD and Bentley MicroStation to save the user from double handing pointcloud files and allow them to directly harness the power of Jetstream and stream the pointcloud directly into their chosen drafting software.

The Leica RTC360 does have the capability for inverted scanning, including scanning in manholes or other inverted positions. It utilizes an IMU (Inertial Measurement Unit) based Tilt sensor that can correct inverted scans to within 10 degrees of their true position. This feature allows for more flexibility in capturing data in various orientations, including upside-down positions.

The main differences between the Leica RTC360 and the Leica P50 laser scanners include:

Targets are not required when capturing internal data with the Leica RTC360 scanner, however in some cases they can be preferred.
