Onboard Registration
The Riegl VZ 2000i has dual CPU’s, thus enabling the scanner to perform real time onboard registration. To perform such a task this scanner registers scans together in parallel while performing its scanning duties, utilising its orientation sensor (MEMS IMU, Compass, and barometer) and its L1 GNSS.
Multiple Target Capabilities
Riegl’s TLS Sensors can return multiple targets per single LiDAR beam. This allows the user to perform in-depth analysis on the pointcloud identifying where the beam split. Such information can be used for advanced pointcloud cleaning, better penetration for forestry and Carbon Capture environments and waveform analysis.
