C.R. Kennedy Building Construction was proud to present a workshop at this years 2018 Construction Innovation Forum in Melbourne. This workshop is now available online and as a PDF download.

As a long-term partner of the AMCA, CR Kennedy is very supportive of bringing together the world’s leading thought practitioners to provide global insight into the ways leading building and construction firms are utilising the latest technologies to change the way they work for the better.

In the workshop, Matt Rumbelow provided real life examples of how the Lecia Geosystems BLK360 has improve efficiency and productivity in the office and on-site. For example, Building Information Modelling (BIM) managers can quickly capture construction stages at the touch of a button, allowing comparison to design-intent for quality assurance. MEP consultants can record the positioning of pipework and electrical systems prior to being clad for future maintenance and adaption.

Gregg Franz from Leica Geosystems demonstrated how the new Leica Geosystems RTC360 combines ultra-accurate laser scanning with high-definition imagery, capturing whole environments quickly and in precise detail to create a digital 3D environment that can be explored, measured and annotated, providing a fuller understanding of any building project.

The workshop also provided a sneak peak of the yet to be released Lecia Geosystems BLK3D measurement device.

The workshop complemented the keynote presentations by demonstrating the latest technological innovations in construction.
